How can Apple Pay and Google Pay be used for paying Rounded invoices?
Apple Pay and Google Pay provide convenient payment options for paying Rounded invoices. Below is a detailed explanation of how these wallet payments work, their requirements, and limitations.
Overview of Payment Options
Rounded invoices support payments through Stripe, a secure payment processing platform. When a client chooses to pay an invoice via Stripe, they may have the option to use Apple Pay or Google Pay, depending on their device and browser setup.
How Stripe Enables Apple Pay and Google Pay
Apple Pay and Google Pay are not manually added as payment options on Rounded invoices. Instead, these options are dynamically displayed within the Stripe checkout interface. When a client opens the invoice link and selects to pay by card (processed via Stripe), the Stripe checkout system automatically detects whether Apple Pay or Google Pay is supported on the client’s device or browser. If supported, the relevant wallet payment option will appear at the time of payment.
Device and Browser Requirements
To use Apple Pay or Google Pay for paying Rounded invoices, the following conditions must be met:
Apple Pay: This option will appear for clients using supported iOS devices with Apple Pay set up.
Google Pay: This option will appear for clients using supported Android devices or the Chrome browser when logged into a Google account with Google Pay set up.
The availability of these wallet payment options depends on the client having the relevant wallet configured on their device or browser.
Limitations and Unsupported Scenarios
Apple Pay and Google Pay are only available through Stripe’s checkout system. They cannot be enabled for Rounded invoices without using Stripe.
If the client’s device or browser does not support these wallet payments or if the wallet is not set up, the options will not appear during checkout.
