You can restart a timer for an existing time entry without creating a new one.
Go to Timer → Time tracking.
Find the time entry you want to continue.
Hover over it, then click Play (blue triangle icon).
To pause it again, click Stop (red circle icon).
The new time you track will be added to the same time entry.
