How do I connect a bank account via Open Banking

Connecting your bank or credit card accounts to the Bank Feeds feature

Written by Michelle

The Bank Feeds feature lets you link bank or credit card accounts to your Rounded account so you can view all your transactions in one place. You can use the Bank Feeds section to add and manage these accounts.

NOTE: Rounded provides the bank feed feature by connecting to Open Banking which is part of the Consumer Data Right Laws. Open banking is a government initiative administered by the ACCC. Click HERE to see the banks and financial institutions that participate.

To connect an account for the first time:

  1. Go to Bank Feeds from the left menu.

  2. Enter

    1. Your phone number and ABN.

    2. Choose how much transaction history to include. The default is 12 months, or you can set a custom date.

  3. Click Connect to Open Banking.

  4. Review the data access details, and click Allow to give consent.

  5. Pick your bank and it will continue in your bank’s environment.

  6. Enter your login details there only.

Please note that this part of the process takes place within your chosen bank's environment, so you are only providing your login details to your bank. At no time will Rounded or Fiskil require you to provide your login information.

Example of possible next steps:

Enter your email address.

Click Get code.

An email will be sent to the email address used in the first step.

Enter the code on the next page.

Click Continue.

Select the account(s) to be connected to your Rounded account and click Continue.

Review and confirm the data you are sharing, then click Confirm and share.

Depending on your bank, gathering and displaying all transactions associated with the selected accounts to your Rounded account may take up to 10 minutes.

NOTES:

  • It can take up to 10 minutes for transactions to appear. Stay on the Bank Feeds page during this time.

  • Transactions update once your bank marks them as completed.

Remember to download the Rounded mobile app!
